It seems that every day we are hearing more about how drones are a real force for good.
As the government announces a consultation exercise which could pave the way for the legislation in a Drones Bill next year, Aviation Minister Baroness Sugg says that drones are forging a key role in a number of sectors.
Drones are being used to survey building sites, help deliver major infrastructure projects and even capture breath-taking images of some of the world’s major sporting and political events as well as assisting the emergency services and there is potential for them to ferry urgent blood supplies around cities.
Of course with increased usage a sound system of regulation is essential and I will be keeping a close eye on the developments during the consultation.
